A Skylite Drive

Michael "Jag" Jagmin - Vocals
Nick Miller - Guitar
Joey Wilson - Guitar
Brian White - Bass / Screams
Kyle Simmons - Keyboards
Cory La Quay - Drums / Vocals

It takes great vision for a band to refuse to rest on their previous successes and instead focus on what they need to become. That’s exactly what Lodi, California’s A Skylit Drive achieved with the sextet’s third full-length album, Identity On Fire.

Marrying the defining, intrinsic elements of A Skylit Drive’s signature sound with a bold new palette of tones, textures and song structures, the aptly named Identity On Fire serves up a double meaning, not only standing apart from the band’s prior works but also defining the band from this point forward.

“This record has everything to do with setting fire to the things that you don't want and don't need, and are only slowing you down,” notes Michael “Jag” Jagmin. “It’s about creating your own identity, and being who you want to be. We feel like that's what we've done with this album.”

A Skylit Drive — comprised of vocalist Jagmin, guitarists Nick Miller and Joey Wilson, bassist/screamer Brian White, drummer Cory La Quay and keyboardist Kyle Simmons — officially burst onto the scene in 2007 with the She Watched The Sky EP, followed by 2008’s Wires And The Concept Of Breathing. The album marked the group’s first proper full-length album and the entrance of Jagmin to the fold. Wires hit #171 on the U.S. Billboard 200, as well as #9 on the Top Heatseekers Chart and #20 on the Top Independent Albums chart, setting the stage for a much-anticipated follow-up. The band then joined the Fearless Records family, with their label debut coming in the form of 2009’s Adelphia, which peaked at #64 on the Billboard 200.

With the sophomore pressure behind them, ASD re-entered the studio in the fall of 2010, after a summer of 10-hour days spent writing new material in a blistering warehouse, to record Identity On Fire. All the sweat clearly paid off: Identity captures the group truly coming into their own, at a pivotal stage in their career. The album debuted on the U.S. Billboard 200 at #89 and #16 on the Alternative Albums chart.

“We're extremely excited about the album,” says Jagmin. “We took everything we did on Wires and Adelphia and asked, 'What did we do wrong, what did we do right, and what have we never done, but wanted to do?' We feel that this is the album we've needed to make, and we finally did it.”

What is Harlem Shake??

About

“Harlem Shake”, not to be confused with the hip hop dance style, is the title of a 2012 heavy bass instrumental track produced by Baauer. In February 2013, the song spawned a series of dance videos that begin with a masked individual dancing alone in a group before suddenly cutting to a wild dance party featuring the entire group. Despite what the name suggests, the videos present a wide range of hip hop dances, including the Bernie, Twerking as well as improvisations.

Origin

“Harlem Shake” by Baauer, the stage name of American music producer Harry Rodrigues, was uploaded to YouTube on August 23rd, 2012. The lyric “do the Harlem Shake” is a sample from the 2001 track “Miller Time” by Philadelphia party rap crew, Plastic Little. The lyric was taken from an incident in member Jayson Musson’s life where he got into a fight and finished by getting up and doing the dance. Bauuer’s song was met with positive reception from electronica & trap music blogs, as well as other artists including Diplo, Brodinski, and Flosstradamus. On January 30th, 2013, video blogger Filthy_Frank uploaded an episode that opens with four people dressed in latex suits dancing to Baauer’s “Harlem Shake” (shown below, right).

The Dance
The Harlem Shake is a style of dance that involves pivoting the shoulder out while popping the other shoulder out at the same time. Introduced in 1981 by a Harlem, New York City resident named “Al Bm,” the dance was initially referred to as “albee” after his name, but later became known as the Harlem Shake as its prominence grew beyond the neighborhood. The popularity of the dance reached its peak around 2001, when it was featured or referenced in songs by several New York-based hip hop artists such as Jadakiss, Cam’ron and P. Diddy.

Spread

The dance itself is defined by Urban Dictionary as ‘An eccentric upper body dance move that involves the shaking of the upper torso and shoulders.’ On February 2nd, 2013, several parodies of DizastaMusic’s video were uploaded by YouTubers TheSunnyCoastSkate and PHL_On_NAN, the latter of which would go viral on February 5th, amassing 300,000 views within 24 hours and prompting further parodies from other YouTubers shortly after.

On February 7th, YouTuber hiimrawn uploaded a version titled “Harlem Shake v3 (office edition)” (shown below) featuring the staff of online video production company Maker Studios. The video instantly went viral, amassing more than 7.4 million views in the first week, as well as inspiring a notable subset of contributions from well-known Internet companies, including BuzzFeed, CollegeHumor, Vimeo and Facebook among many others.

Versioning

The majority of early Harlem Shake videos adhered to the title format denoting its numeric version (ex: “The Harlem Shake v2”), but the practice soon became redundant and phased out as the volume of uploads continued to grow on YouTube.

Notable Examples

Throughout the second week of February 2013, more than 4,000 “Harlem Shake” videos were uploaded to YouTube each day, according to YouTube’s official trend report. By February 13th, approximately 12,000 “Harlem Shake” videos had been posted, gaining more than 44 million views.

Bayern Munich 1-0 Borussia Dortmund: Robben cracker brings treble dream into focus

The Bavarians sealed progression to the DFB-Pokal semi-final by overcoming the holders, who struggled to break down their opposition throughout.

Bayern Munich kept their dreams of winning the treble alive by beating Borussia Dortmund 1-0 to claim a place in the DFB-Pokal semi-final.

An Arjen Robben strike just before half time was all there was to separate the two teams in a tense match, which saw Roman Weidenfeller make a string of key saves to keep the Bavarians at bay.

With the hosts in superb form, it was Jupp Heynckes' side who showed all of the early initiative. In just the fourth minute, Dante lifted the ball over the top, but neither Bastian Schweinsteiger nor Thomas Muller's outstretched legs could reach it.

Shortly afterwards, Robben forced a great save from Roman Weidenfeller after being played in by Toni Kroos, who later had a great chance of his own after the keeper pushed a deflected cross into his path, but could not adjust his body in time.

At the other end, Dortmund had very little to show for their efforts. Only Mario Gotze looked to be capable of producing anything of note, but all of his efforts were in vain, as the Roten defence stood firm.

Bayern began to exert their dominance on the game more and more as the half wore on. An heroic header from Felipe Santana stopped Dante from reaching a left-wing cross and the Brazilian produced a fine save from Weidenfeller from close range after a superb ball from Schweinsteiger, before Robben's moment arrived.

The Dutchman had missed two superb chances to open the scoring, sending one over the bar from close range, and forcing the busy Weidenfeller into another stop, but in the 43rd minute, some hesitant defending from Marcel Schmelzer allowed Philipp Lahm to feed Robben, who lifted the ball into the top corner from 20 yards.

Within seconds of the start of the second half, Muller had a chance to double the advantage, but could not get the ball out of his path, allowing the BVB defence to come back in numbers.

And so it remained. Bayern continued to dominate possession, and while Dortmund had a couple of bright moments on the break, they had little to show for their efforts, save an Ilkay Gundogan effort from distance which Manuel Neuer stopped with ease.

Eventually, though, they began to craft out better sights of goal. The Germany midfielder had another strike blocked, before Marco Reus, who had been a quiet presence for much of the game, flashed another shot wide of goal.

Bayern, though, were still capable of testing Weidenfeller time and time again, with Kroos having two strikes, one from close range and one from distance which was beaten away by the BVB keeper, before Martinez saw an effort tipped over.

Daniel Van Buyten then missed the target with a header from a corner, and Dante had two efforts saved by Weidenfeller from another set piece. The keeper was in action late on to deny Mario Mandzukic

Time was rapidly running out for Dortmund to grab an equaliser, and although they pressed and probed, Bayern's defence remained firm and impregnable. Their best chance arrived deep into stoppage time when Lukasz Piszczek crossed for Julian Schieber, who headed over from close range.

In the end, there was no dramatic twist in the tale, and the Bundesliga leaders held on to claim their place in the last four.

Meanwhile, Freiburg have also made the semi-finals by producing a superb late comeback to beat Mainz 3-2 after extra-time, with Daniel Caligiuri scoring twice, former Bayern man Ivica Olic found the net as Wolfsburg triumphed over Kickers Offenbach, and Stuttgart claimed a 2-0 win over Bochum.

Barcelona 1-3 Real Madrid (Agg 2-4): Relentless Ronaldo demolishes hosts to book Copa final berth

Los Blancos put together a sterling performance in all areas of the pitch to humble their great rivals in their own back yard, and seal a place in the cup final.

Real Madrid stormed into the Copa del Rey final in the most stunning manner possible, with an emphatic 3-1 victory over Barcelona at Camp Nou in the second leg of their last-four clash on Tuesday.
With a 1-1 home draw to overcome from the first leg, Jose Mourinho looked on in jubilation as his team executed their gameplan to perfection, frustrating the Catalans at the back, and through an inspirational Cristiano Ronaldo, giving a counter-attacking clinic up front.

The Portuguese opened the scoring from the penalty spot 12 minutes in, becoming the first player to score in six successive Clasicos away from home, and finished off a surging break shortly before the hour mark to put Madrid in the driving seat.

Raphael Varane put the finishing touches on an unbelievable night for the visitors when he headed home a corner, with Jordi Alba's late goal coming as little consolation for the hosts.

Los Blancos now await either Sevilla or Atletico Madrid in the showpiece event on May 18.

Sergio Busquets, Cesc Fabregas and Xavi returned to start in midfield for the hosts, with Carles Puyol partnering Gerard Pique in defence. For Madrid, Varane, the standout performer from the first leg, started alongside Sergio Ramos at centre-back.
Barca started positively, and with only two minutes on the clock, were nearly ahead. Pedro did brilliantly to turn Fabio Coentrao inside out and square for Lionel Messi, who narrowly missed the target from a tight angle.
But instead, it would be Madrid who would take the lead. Ronaldo was simply too quick for Pique, and was tripped up inside the area, leaving the referee with no choice but to award a penalty, from which the Portuguese forward slotted coolly into the bottom corner.
The Catalans exhibited their customary dominance of the ball, but Mourinho’s men were ready with discipline and numbers at the back, and a pacey threat on the counter whenever they won possession.
Referee Alberto Undiano Mallenco‎, already the villain of the piece in the eyes of the Camp Nou faithful for the decision against Pique, was showered with further vitriol from the stands after correctly denying penalty appeals for Fabregas and Pedro.
And the home fans were left frustrated again moments before half-time, when Messi drilled a free kick agonisingly into the side netting, with half of the stadium already celebrating a goal.
The Blaugrana went close again minutes after the restart when Diego Lopez parried an effort by Busquets, with Alvaro Arbeloa taking the rebound off the toes of Fabregas from point blank range.
But much like the start of the first half, the chance was spurned, and again, Madrid would punish their profligacy on the counter-attack, this time putting the tie virtually out of reach.
Sami Khedira’s sublime first-time pass after winning the ball released Angel Di Maria against Puyol. The Barca captain was left on his backside by the skill of the winger, whose initial shot was parried by Jose Pinto, only for Ronaldo to bury the rebound.
And with 22 minutes left, Madrid were in dreamland again, when Varane rose highest to head home Mesut Ozil’s corner in almost identical fashion to his goal in the first leg.
Flares were set off in the stands as a few home fans lost patience with events on the pitch, but their mood improved ever so slightly just before injury time when Alba ghosted in behind the full-back to slot Andres Iniesta's clipped pass beyond Lopez.
But the damage was long done by the irrepressible visitors, who will now contest the final in three months. The Clasico drama is not quite done, however, as both sides will lock horns at Santiago Bernabeu in la Liga on Saturday.

Attack Attack!

Attack Attack! are a 4 piece band from the suburbs of Columbus, Ohio. Featuring Caleb Shomo (Vocals), Andrew Wetzel (Drums), Andrew Whiting (Guitar), and John Holgado (Bass). Attack Attack! started in early 2007 and has morphed over time into the powerhouse it is today. Headlining consistently and being featured on Vans Warped Tour 2 years in a row, the band is obviously in high demand in many territories. They've been credited with starting their very own genre called "Crabcore". They've attracted attention from all over the world and have been featured on Fox News. Many people have been critical of the band, but it would seem that Attack Attack! are only capable of rising upward in the industry. Attack Attack! have already done a successful Australia/New Zealand tour, and are planning to headline all over Europe in the coming months. With the band pushing it's way into markets across the globe. It's safe to say that this band is just getting warmed up.

Struktur Data

Struktur Array

Suatu array adalah sebuah struktur data yang terdiri atas banyak variabel dengan tipe data sama, dimana masing-masing elemen variabel mempunyai nilai indeks. Setiap elemen array mampu untuk menyimpan satu jenis data (yaitu: variabel).
Sifat Array

Deklarasi Arrai Satu Dimensi
tipe_data nama_var_array[ukuran];

tipe_data  : menyatakan jenis tipe data elemen larik (int, char, float, dll)
nama_var_array  : menyatakan nama variabel yang dipakai.
ukuran   : menunjukkan jumlah maksimal elemen larik.

contoh:

Penjelasan Array Satu Dimensi

 Deklarasi Umum Array Dua Dimensi
tipe_data nama_var_array[batas_baris][batas_kolom];
Contoh:
int matriks[3][4];
int matriks2[3][4] = { {5,20,1,11}, {4,7,67,-9}, {9,0,45,3} };

ARRAY MULTIDIMENSI
  1. 1.Mengacu sekumpulan elemen melalui indeks.
  2. 2.Elemen bertipe sama.
  3. 3.Disimpan secara berurutan di memori.
  4. 4.Ukuran tetap, harus dipesan terlebih dahulu.

CARA PENGAKSESAN ELEMEN ARRAY
